This landscape wasn’t entirely planned, but was a piece I did to put into practice several new techniques. Who knew I’d fall so in love with it?! Growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Utah and the plains of Montana, pines and snow have been a fixture in my life for as long as I can remember. When this piece was completed, I found I was transported the silence of a snowy night in the woods when looking at it, which inspired the title.
